President’ s Message
Hello CCLA Members,
As another busy landscape season starts to wind down, it ' s a good time to look back on the year and appreciate the people who make this industry what it is. We all spend a lot of time running our businesses, managing crews, dealing with customers, and keeping up with the day-to-day demands of the job. Sometimes it ' s good to get away from all that and spend some time with others who understand the business.
That ' s one of the things I value most about CCLA. It gives us a chance to connect, trade ideas, learn from each other, and have a little fun along the way.
Our Annual Golf Classic in September was a great example. We had a terrific turnout, enjoyed a day on the course, and raised important funds for the CCLA Scholarship Program. A big thank you to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and Golf Committee for making it happen. Events like this remind me what a great group of people we have in this association. Coming up, I hope to see many of you at our November 10 member meeting at Margaritaville in Hyannis. With the season winding down, it ' s a good opportunity to catch up with fellow members, swap a few stories, and reconnect before winter sets in.
And speaking of winter, mark your calendars for LandsCape Cod on January 19 & 20, 2027! We ' re heading to the Margaritaville Conference Center this year with a new format for our Industry Expo and a strong lineup of educational programs. Whether you ' ve been in the business for 30 years or you ' re just getting started, there ' s always something new to learn. I encourage you to bring your employees, too. Giving your crew opportunities to learn and grow is one of the smartest investments you can make in your business.
I also want to put something out there as we look toward the new year. CCLA is only as strong as the members who get involved. We have a dedicated group of volunteers who put a lot of time and effort into making this association successful, but there ' s always room for more.
Maybe you ' ve got an idea for a program, some experience you ' d be willing to share, or an interest in serving on a committee. Maybe you ' d like to get involved with legislative issues that affect our industry or even consider a seat on the Board. You don ' t have to take on a huge commitment to make a difference. Sometimes all it takes is a good idea and a willingness to lend a hand.
We ' ve got a lot of talented, experienced people in this association, and I ' d like to see more of that knowledge and energy put to work for CCLA. Thanks for being part of this organization and for everything you do to keep our industry moving forward. I look forward to seeing you in November and at LandsCape Cod in January.
