Amazing Facts International ’ s mission “ is to take God ’ s message to the world ,” and it is accomplishing this with a sound organization and a global reach that begins right here in Placer County . Launched 55 years ago in Maryland and now headquartered in Granite Bay , this popular multimedia ministry offers services , resources and education to anyone seeking to better understand the Bible .
The ministry ’ s new 34,000-square-foot office building opened last August on a prominent hilltop in Granite Bay , featuring spectacular views of surrounding woods , the Sierra Nevada and the Sacramento skyline . About 100 employees and a multitude of volunteers count this new facility as a centerpiece to bringing hope to billions worldwide . The new Granite Bay Hilltop Adventist Church is scheduled to open in June on the same property .
Pastor Doug Batchelor , president , says that Amazing Facts has reached millions globally with its unique take on Christianity , even in places not typically open to ministry , such as China and Cuba . It also broadcasts on television in more than 90 countries , while utilizing a robust online presence to reach millions more every month .
“ However , while our mission is a global one , we hope to be a ‘ light on a hill ’ to our neighbors here in Placer County and the greater Sacramento area — a beacon of hope to those in our community struggling in the rat race of life and who have maybe forgotten their spiritual journeys ,” says Batchelor .
He says , “ We look forward to meeting the unique members of our community and serving them in their walk with God .” Through its new W . O . R . D . Center and church , Amazing Facts hopes to bring Bible clarity and a hopeful future to millions worldwide , starting with those in its own backyard .
