PLACER COUNTY ’ S TRUSTED SENIOR SERVICES PARTNER
For more than 50 years , Eskaton has been supporting the lives of older adults and their families . This innovative nonprofit organization offers education , resources and supportive housing and services across Placer County , including the communities of Eskaton Village Roseville , Eskaton Roseville Manor and Eskaton Lodge Granite Bay , as well as the home-based services Live Well at Home , Eskaton Home Healthcare and Eskaton Telephone Reassurance Program .
“ Through partnership we can meet many community needs and help transform the aging experience ,” says Sheri Peifer , chief strategy officer . “ We strongly believe in regional impact , which drives our partnerships with local organizations and our involvement with community leadership groups .”
In addition to her role as Eskaton ’ s manager of community outreach , Darlene Cullivan holds a voluntary executive leadership role with the Roseville Chamber of Commerce as vice president of community development . Cullivan focuses on Leadership Roseville , a
program to educate and develop effective community leaders , which she graduated from two years ago . She also works on SPLASH , a community event that highlights local restaurants , breweries and wineries while raising funds to support the City ’ s At Risk Youth Programs .
Eskaton ’ s Placer County partnerships , sponsorships and education projects include bringing the arts to older adults with Blue Line Art Gallery ; providing free Heart Healthy seminars and fall-prevention seminars ; partnering with Educational Ministries in Rocklin to provide chaplains for spiritual support ; sponsoring the Lazarus Project , which provides transitional housing and social services to previously homeless individuals ; and working closely with Kaiser Permanente to provide highquality health care and skilled nursing support through Eskaton Care Centers .
