Canopy ’ s ‘ Mood modulator ’

Canadian cannabis giant Canopy Growth has announced the launch of a new range of CBD-infused drinks . Quatreau sparkling waters are the company ’ s first foray into the Canadian beverage market . The drinks come in four flavors : Cucumber + Mint and Passion Fruit + Guava , with 20mg of CBD and < 1mg of THC . Ginger + Lime and Blueberry + Açai contain 2mg of both CBD and THC . CEO David Klein explained : “ Initially , the idea for the brand was for it to be our first foray into mood modulation … So you pick your can color based upon the wave you wanted to ride .”

Goop founder Gwenyth Paltrow called cannabis a wellness ‘ hero ingredient of the future ’ following her investment in drinks company , Cann . Paltrow said : “ There ’ s a whole sobercurious movement that ’ s going on and the cannabis-curious movement that ’ s going on , this is kind of at the intersection of those things in a way .”

New Jersey residents may soon be eligible to claim medical cannabis expenses as part of workers ’ compensation . Bill A1708 requires workers ’ compensation and personal injury protection ( PIP ) auto insurance benefits to cover cannabis medicine for workers enrolled on the state ’ s medical marijuana programme

A clinical trial in Toronto , Canada could help give physicians the data to prescribe cannabis for a wide range of pain-related conditions . In the Medical Cannabis Real-World Evidence ( MC-RWE ) trial , patients will know exactly how much CBD and THC is in a product . And if the product works for them , they can rely on each subsequent batch being the same . Dr . Hance Clarke , director of pain services at Toronto General Hospital , said : “ For the first time we will have a national repository of data that can provide answers about the effectiveness of these products , to test their claims .”

Public health boost

Legalizing cannabis in Connecticut would improve public health during the coronavirus by preventing cannabis tourism to surrounding states , its governor said . Gov . Ned Lamont ( D ) said that officials have “ got to think regionally when it comes to how we deal with the pandemic — and I think we have to think regionally when it comes to marijuana as well .”
