KAYLA DALLAS High School Sweethearts 2 0 1 8 E D I T I O N / CAY M A N VO WS .C O M IN TRUE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS style, Dallas, a football player, first met Kayla through Kayla’s father who happened to be the head coach of the high school football team. The high school sweet- hearts went on to date for ten years before getting engaged, even surviving a long distance relationship when Dallas went away to university. In June 2017, the two were on a cruise in the Caribbean and while visiting Grand Cayman, they went on an excursion to Stingray City. While in the water enjoying Stingray City, Dallas told Kayla he wasn’t feeling well and needed to go back to the boat to grab a drink. Little did Kayla know, this was just his excuse to retrieve the ring from his wallet. When he returned to the water, he told Kayla that he wanted to go look at stingrays farther away from the crowd. While underwater, Dallas pulled something out from the lanyard around his neck. To Kayla’s complete aston- ishment, it was a diamond ring. “After we surfaced, he asked me if I would be Mrs. Glass and of course I said ‘yes,’” recalls Kayla. Since the couple were engaged in the Cayman Islands, they decided to get married there as well. The best part about having their wedding in Grand Cayman was how relaxing and stress- free it was. The tropical-themed cele- bration was a small and intimate family affair, allowing the couple to focus on each other.
