you are the walking living and I too;
though stone-faced and cliff-armed
we appear -
must persist in the glacial
valley descent - moraines only shift once,
their permanence
too often seen as a fault -
but it’s actually testament
to one’s ability to seep, like sand and water
into the
cracks of topsoil until
we fill the underground holes
instead of blowing away, like dunes
might, dislodged and transient,
in eyescour and lung-choke sandstorms.
