She descends from the upper Corner of your boxed being ; She comes through the shimmer And the shine , through bloodshot Twilights and ferociously forked Storms , through sultry evenings Heavy with the smell of life Renewed by rain .
She wanders in through Daydreams devoted to the healing Impulse of the heart , Through love unrequited , Through yearning dark and unspoken , Through the search of Self , Through whispers of an Other . A dripping drenches the mind , An usher wills itself to live And open the second door . She treads upon the threshold Speaking so ly As you sleep .
