Tenemos tanto que agradecer que resulta difícil empezar… Primero
debemos dar gracias al Creador porque nos iluminó para sortear el re-
tador panorama país que tenemos en Venezuela. Después, reconocer
a los artistas porque sin sus obras y deseos de participar la exposición
“72 Artistas Plásticos por los Periodistas de Venezuela” no habría sido
posible. También a nuestros patrocinadores, quienes no dudaron des-
de un primer momento en acompañar esta muestra de arte venezolano
en la ciudad de Miami. Mención especial para el equipo de Miami
Biennale y su Presidente, Milagros Maldonado, por su respaldo y por
facilitar el maravilloso espacio donde presentamos esta colectiva. We have so much to thank that it is difficult to start ... First, we must
give thanks to the Creator because He enlightened us to overcome the
challenging situation that we face in Venezuela. We must also recognize
the artists participating in this show because without their works and
good will, the exhibition “72 Artists for Venezuelan Journalists” would
not have been possible. Also to our sponsors, who did not hesitate from
the outset to accompany this exhibition of Venezuelan art in the city of
Miami. We should specially mention to the Miami Biennale Group and
its President Milagros Maldonado for their support and for lending us

Visión Vision
La labor del Instituto de Previsión Social del Periodista, IPSP, de
desarrollar políticas de apoyo social dirigidas al gremio de periodis-
tas en Venezuela, se apalanca en actividades como esta exposición
que, por segundo año consecutivo, esta vez en el marco de su 51
Aniversario, reúne a artistas plásticos, patrocinadores y periodistas
con la gente que ama el arte, así como aquellos que quieren dar su
contribución a nuestra causa social. The work of the “Instituto de Previsión Social del Periodista, IPSP” consist
of developing social support policies aimed at the journalists’ union in
Venezuela, and is leveraged in activities such as this exhibition. The
IPSP is in its 51st Anniversary, and for the second consecutive year,
is honored to bring together artists, sponsors, journalists, and people
who love art, as well as those who want to give their contribution to
our social cause. Estimular el financiamiento y asociarse con instituciones públicas y pri-
vadas con el fin de generar proyectos innovadores como, entre otros,
una Bienal para la ciudad de Miami cada dos años y permitir la
integración de nuestra comunidad a las redes internacionales para el
desarrollo de la cultura. To stimulate funding and partner with both public and private institutions
in order to generate innovative projects such as, but not limited to a
Biennial for the city of Miami by Miami every two years and to enable
the integration of our community to the international networks for the
developing of culture.
El pensamiento de su presidente The thought of its President
Considerando la situación de Venezuela, esta exposición es un ejerci-
cio de resistencia. Es una muestra de lo que podemos realizar cuando
nos proponemos un objetivo que nos une como seres humanos para
dar y compartir. Es también un gran reencuentro entre venezolanos.
Prueba de ello es el entusiasmo generado por las actividades cultu-
rales organizadas en torno a la muestra. Finalmente, solo me queda
agradecer el apoyo recibido de los periodistas, en los medios de
comunicación y por las redes sociales, para la exitosa divulgación y
participación del público en la ciudad de Miami y a través de nuestro
sitio web www.ipsperiodista.org Considering the current situation in Venezuela, this exhibition is an
exercise of resistance. It is a proof of what we can accomplish when
we devise a goal that unites us as human beings to give and share.
It is also a great reunion among Venezuelans. Evidence of this is the
enthusiasm generated by the cultural activities organized as part of
the event. Finally, I need to thank the support of journalists, media and
