Kawe Calypso of Cahuita, is a Calypso
band formed by Donald Williams, Junior
Álvarez and Alfonso Goulbourne, they
have a great career as composers, inter-
preters and teachers of Calypso. Danny
(Donald) and Alfonso grew up in Cahuita
and learned to make music in the 1970s
with the disappeared “Buda Band”, one
of the most famous bands of all times in
Costa Rica.In 2016 Kawe shared the stage
with SembaPreta, band of young musi-
cians from the Costa Rican scene.
