Carpentry

Curriculum Description
The Carpentry program is part of our overal Construction Trades curriculum. Students learn the foundations of building, building specifications & requirements, reading blueprints, construction methods and more.
Emphasis will be placed on building tools and techniques.
Course Requirements
General Education Required Courses
• English- 4 credits
• Math- 4 credits
• Science- 3 credits
• Social Studies- 4 credits
• Health & Physical Education- 1 credit
• World Languages- 2 credits( required if NC college bound)
• Electives- 4 credits in any other subject area( Masonry or business would pair well)
Certificate Required Courses
• Principles of Business & Finance
• Drafting I
• Drafting II- Architecture
• Drafting III- Architecture
• Core and Sustainable Construction w / Carpentry ICarpentry II & III
