Automotive Technology

Curriculum Description
The Automotive Technology program offers training in all aspects of automotive repair, based on ASE( Automotive Service Excellence) standards. Through our courses, students are introduced to the skills necessary to become automotive technicians. The program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation( NATEF) and the Automotive Youth Educational System( AYES).
Students hone their skills in a state-of-the-art 50,000 + square foot facility centered around a 24 bay main shop where students can train in a real-world environment. The shop is also equipped with 12 computer terminals to provide the student with service information. The facility has an in-house parts store where students can learn parts and service sales skills.
The proper use of safety equipment, troubleshooting, producing estimates and customer service are important elements of the program. Upperclassmen are encouraged to bolster their skills and experience by securing internships and co-op positions with local repair shops and auto dealerships.
