Audio Production / Podcasting
Curriculum Description
This double block , semester-long honors course for juniors and seniors will cover advanced practices in Audio / Podcast Production . As an extension of WAME radio , students will produce content for air on 92.9FM and their internet stream .
Emphasis is placed on students demonstrating their abilities to use content and apply knowledge to real world situations , enhancing their skills in interpersonal communication , public speaking , writing , time management , leadership , and teamwork . This course will prepare each student for an easy transition into college , trade schools or directly into the field . Networking and job shadowing opportunities will be available for students to begin building their bank of mentors .
* This course may be taken as a full-year and / or multiple semesters with instructor approval .
Course Requirements
General Education Required Courses
• English - 4 credits
• Math - 4 credits
• Science - 3 credits
• Social Studies - 4 credits
• Health & Physical Education - 1 credit
• World Languages - 2 credits ( required if NC college bound )
• Electives - 4 credits in any other subject area ( Film Production would pair well )
