Nursing Fundamentals
Curriculum Description
The Nursing Fundamentals program prepares students for a variety of healthcare careers , as well as satisfies a precursor for many medical programs , such as Nursing and Physical Therapy . When the students successfully complete the course , they are eligible to sit for the state Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) exam and , when they pass the exam , can enter the workforce immediately .
Course Requirements
General Education Required Courses
• English - 4 credits
• Math - 4 credits
• Science - 3 credits , must include Basic Anatomy
• Social Studies - 4 credits
• Health & Physical Education - 1 credit
• World Languages - 2 credits ( required if NC college bound )
• Electives - 4 credits in any other subject area
