One in four recruitment companies has no
plans for digital transformation
Companies embracing digital technology in their recruitment processes are seeing a dramatic impact on
both business results and talent-acquisition outcomes. Aptitude Research’s 2019 Talent Acquisition survey,
in partnership with Alexander Mann Solutions, shows that those with a digital transformation strategy were:

Despite the numerous benefits of digital transformation, talent acquisition has been slow to
shift processes and adopt new technology. Too often, companies rely on antiquated practices
and solutions that hamper their ability to work efficiently and deliver exceptional, modern
experiences. In fact, according to our research, one in four companies surveyed has no plans for
digital transformation in talent acquisition. Many of these organisations are unsure what digital
transformation means for them, let alone where and how to get started.

Successful digital transformation of talent acquisition is as dependent on a strategy as it is on
technology. Companies that have the right people with the right leadership, underpinned by a
robust change mechanism, are better able to increase adoption and achieve results. Unfortunately,
only 32% of companies have the internal resources needed, and only 24% have the requisite budget.
