Catalyst • Junior Secondary Curriculum • Handbook 2021 Girls’ Sport Girls at the Senior School will select a ‘performance’ sport and a ‘development’ sport in each of the seasons. As our numbers grow, we will continue to introduce additional sports into the girls’ program, for this reason selection for girls’ summer sport 2021 will be completed in November 2020 so we can offer the full range of available sports to students. We will contact families directly at that time with the process. In each calendar week there are two training sessions, with matches played after school and/or on weekends in the ‘performance’ sport, and during the day once a term or semester in the ‘development’ sport. Once selections are finalised the students will be able to access their individual schedules on our sports website www.ggs-sport.com Girls’ Sport Basketball Cricket (T20) Tennis Swimming Water polo Beach Volleyball Triathlon Summer Girls’ Cohort Sports Athletics, swimming, team triathlon and cross country are all of cohort engagement sports and if selected, students will participate broadly in these events.
