Congratulatory message
I sincerely congratulate Gallery Harang on participating in the Rhy Art Fair Basel 2018,
where you can feel the enthusiasm and scent of the artists who are active in Korea and
Europe.
Basel in Switzerland is leading the art market in the center of the global arts issue and
will be a good exhibition to look at the direction and present of Korean contemporary
art through this art fair. I think it is a good opportunity to explore the works of artists
with diverse nationalities through international art exchange and show the results of the
experimental spirit. It is also a good opportunity to promote the creative world of the
artist through introducing the cross-section of Korean art to Europe and through active
exchanges with foreign artists.
I would like to share my appreciation with the works of artists who are active in various
parts of the world and share their art worlds. I hope that artists can create a new art
culture through the works of European contemporary art, their culture and wonders of
our contemporary art and culture, to become a place of inspiration for the artists, and
this exhibition will be a cornerstone of the art exchange between Korea and Europe.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to Aeri Choi, the director of Gallery Harang,
and the artists who have been delightfully exhibiting good works in the art fair.
