art&factory Goals The ART&FACTORY initiative is an integral part of the ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival and it consists of a competition between national and foreign audiovisual production teams. Its main goal is the promotion of the diversity and quality of the heritage of the Centro de Portugal. This year, this competition is in Torres Vedras, host municipality of the ART&TUR Festival 2019. Each team (3 or 4 elements) will have to face a great challenge, since they only have 4 to 5 days to shoot and edit their films, starting right before the ART&TUR Festival. The premiere of these films is scheduled for October 24th at 6 p.m. The winning film will be awarded the ART&FACTORY Audiovisual Creativity Award, and other films will be promoted through the ART&TUR Festival’s international network. ART&FACTORY is an innovative initiative to promote talent, but also to promote the values of sustainability and the authenticity of local and regional heritage, thus contributing to the pursuit of the following goals: • To enhance the portfolio of creative filmmakers from different countries of the world, who will become “ambassadors of the heritage of the Centro de Portugal”; • Support the Centro de Portugal Region in its cultural heritage promotion, with a special emphasis in the gastronomy; • Create networking dynamics, involving creative filmmakers from around the world, and promote territorial brands of the Centro de Portugal and its heritage, as well as the diversity of filming locations in the region. • Position ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival as co-producer of content and as a partner in the promotion of territorial brands of the Centro de Portugal, strengthening its national and international reputation. • Raise public awareness for the importance of the Centro de Portugal Region heritage, enhancing its attractiveness and the value of the territorial brands that depend on it. • Create new promotional films (promotional films of 2 to 3 minutes or short documentaries of 6 to 7 minutes) on places and values that are little known to the international audience.
