Palo Santo wood is from a mystical
tree native to South America. In
Spanish, the name literally means
“Holy Wood”. Palo Santo is burned for
its energetically cleansing and healing
properties similar to Sage. It is said
the true value of this tree comes after
its life of up to 90 years — only after
having lain on the ground for 3 – 4
years does it develop the essential oil.

Using the feather, spread the smoke all around yourself
first, then over what it is you are cleansing. Next, walk
about the area, person or object you are smudging,
fanning the smoke. This clears negativity, cleanses,
focuses and purifies that which is being smudged.
Quick short movements with the feather breaks up
blocked or stagnant energy, long flowing movements
smooth out energy, creating a calm, balanced and
harmonious energy flow. Excellent for use with sage
