Artist statement
‘The ceramics I make are related to an ongoing exploration of visual
dynamics, kinetics and movement. I find inspiration from Cymatics,
the scientific study of wave phenomena, microscopic imagery of
seed pods, pollen and fractals. Mark-making, texture and decora-
tion are equally as important as form. I attempt to make pieces that
allude to a sense of weightlessness, in search of rhythm and bal-
ance, fundamental elements of nature’.

La cerámica que hago está relacionada con una exploración con-
tinua de la dinámica visual, la cinética y el movimiento. Me inspiro
en la cimática, el estudio científico de los fenómenos de las ondas,
imágenes microscópicas de vainas de semillas, polen y fractales. Los
trazos, la textura y la decoración son tan importantes como la forma.
Intento hacer piezas que aludan a un sentido de ingravidez, en busca
de ritmo y equilibrio, elementos fundamentales de la naturaleza .
