What Feminism means to IPFW Feminists
Feminism means that I’m equal.
It means that I don’t have to shut up when you start
talking over me.
It means that I don’t have to smile when you tell me to.
It means that I’m just as good as you, and you are just as
good as me.
Feminism means that I have a voice.
It means that I have qualms about our society.
It means that I have the right to take action.
It means that I can make a difference.
Feminism means that I am a person.
That you are a person.
That we are all people.

To me, feminism is the confidence to walk past
shouting men without feeling ashamed.
To me, feminism is a process of understanding
oppression and privilege.
To me, feminism is a way of viewing the world more
complexly and empathically.
To me, feminism is feeling empowered where I once felt
insignificant.
To me, feminism is the reality that equality is a
necessity and not a concept.
To me, feminism is an opportunity to advocate for
social change.
