“ These are the questions you need to ask yourself and they become more difficult the further down the path you travel with a man.”“ What if I don’ t want to go out with him?”“ Then you tell him,” Tanya stated.“ So how do I find the perfect guy?”“ He does not exist, except in fairy tales. None of us are perfect. We will always be able to find fault in another human being if we look hard enough or long enough. What you must decide is can you deal with this other person’ s imperfections, knowing they will have to deal with yours.”“ This is very complicated. Does it get easier?” Nicole asked on the brink of tears. Taking her daughter into her arms, she held her tightly.“ You are absolutely correct. I am very proud of you. If I said yes, I would be lying. If I said no, I would be lying also. Being a child is easy. Growing up is not. Making a child is easy. Raising one is not, but it has it’ s rewards and I would not be who I am without you, Justin and your father,” Tanya said quietly. Nicole was beginning to get that glazed over look in her eyes that told Tanya it was time to pause the input.“ Why don’ t you go get some sleep. Sometimes things look different in the morning light. You can decide what to do about Rich tomorrow.”“ Good nights,” were exchanged and Tanya told the boys in the family room,“ Bed time in half an hour.”“ Okay,” they said.
The bedroom was quiet. The TV cast it’ s ever changing glow upon the room. Tanya climbed into bed and switched off the soundless broadcast. Even in his sleep, he knew she was back. He rolled over, wrapped his arm around her and pulled her where she knew she belonged.
