Distribution agreement set to benefit no-bake moulding customers

Best known for its continuous sand mixers and sand reclamation plants , Walsall , UKbased Foundry Machinery & Spares Ltd specialises in the delivery of no-bake foundry equipment . This successful family-owned and managed business reports a growing order book and expanding global coverage , with several new agents having recently joined its global sales network . Chairman Tony Perkins has been developing equipment for the foundry industry since 1980 , including the last 17 years together with his son Craig . They created Foundry Machinery & Spares Ltd in 1999 , a business that has grown from strength to strength in the intervening period , developing , manufacturing and selling an extensive range of no-bake equipment for chemically bonded sand foundries . The product range includes continuous sand mixers , mould handling equipment , core making systems , casting and cooling lines and sand reclamation plants ( mechanical and thermal ). Year on year , the customer base continues to grow at a steady rate , both domestically and internationally . The volume of recommendations and repeat business generated are further positive signs of the company ’ s strong position in the marketplace .
Global coverage Collectively , FMS has sold equipment to customers in more than 55 different countries with year on year expansion into new territories . “ We are actively seeking new global representatives for FMS products ” says Managing Director Craig Perkins . Turkish expertise It was during a business trip to Turkish customers that FMS witnessed Transtek ’ s innovative Rapid vertical moulding systems in operation and approached the Turkish foundry equipment supplier to explore collaboration opportunities . With its vertically arranged loop , the Rapid system ( patent pending ) is completely different to anything currently offered in the FMS product range , especially with respect to its minimal footprint compared to that of a typical fast loop offered by FMS and its competitors . In addition , Transtek offers several other distinctive items of equipment such as the Strip Master ( a rollover used in conjunction with the Rapid system ), Rotomatik ( a carousel with features currently not offered in the FMS range of carousels ), Roll to Coat ( a drum-based rollover mould coating unit ), Easy Close ( an automatic mould closing unit ) and Transloop ( a special casting and cooling line system ), along with several other smaller items that complement the existing FMS product range . Founded in 1975 , Transtek has been operating in a wide spectrum of industrial installation projects and machinery design , as well as manufacturing conveyors , industrial washing machines , industrial fire systems and industrial climatisation , ventilation and dedusting installations . The company has specialised in the design and manufacture of foundry equipment for nobake resin systems since 2005 , primarily the automation of moulding and pouring loops , as well as the ancillary equipment needed . Transtek is also a family-owned and operated company involving a father and son team , the business having originally been founded by Ugur Taplamacioglu . His son Cagda is a well-known sales / service engineer , who worked previously for an established no-bake foundry equipment supplier for the Turkish market is now heavily involved in the foundry side of the Transtek business . He is well known locally for his ‘ hands on ’ approach to customer service and has established many good business relationships throughout foundries in Turkey in recent years .
