Step back and the design is striking
and self-assured, yet the model can be
made even more assertive with a range
of optional additions. The sills are
already deeper than the standard model
and align with a deep front spoiler and
rear bumper incorporating the exhaust
outlets. Customers though can add
extra bonnet louvres and there is even
the added luxury of having the tread
plates and floor mats personalised with
your own script.
Inside, the dash is kept as simple and
uncomplicated as possible and there is
room to seat four adults; a rare quality
in a Convertible. The centre console is
dominated by a touch sensitive screen
that controls everything from the radio

to the sat nav. It can even track your
flight reservation, potentially taking
some of the stress out of that drive to
the airport.
However, Land Rover’s clever team of
designers have thought beyond space
and ergonomics, to consider the mood
inside the car. No really, the Evoque
Convertible gives you a choice of
different interior light colours, ranging
from Amber Glow and Electric Blue to
Ice White and Racing Red. Lights are
concealed at key points throughout the
interior to create the perfect atmosphere
or, if you prefer, you can select Stealth
which is near darkness. Cleverly, there is
even a puddle light mounted in the door
mirrors to help you avoid submerging
