more this year the pinnacle of classic car shows
didn’t disappoint: the 228
vehicles from 16 different
countries invited to roll on to the fairway were
in immaculate condition almost as if they just
exited the manufacturer’s garage for the first
time. But in fact it is thanks to the owner’s love
and dedication to these spectacular vehicles
that we can today enjoy their uniqueness, elegance and of course the roar of the ir engines.
Sometimes it takes years of restoration and
polishing in order to shine under the spotlight
at Pebble Beach. For example it took two
years to restore Elvis Presley’s 1957 BMW
507, at the show together with many other
cars from Munich to celebrate the 100-year
anniversary of the German manufacturer.
