CARRIBEAN BUSINESS , THE VERY BEST IN HEALTH TECHNOLOGY COME TOGETHER OCTOBER 2013 | Page 2
NeoDeck Holdings leads
the way by introducing a
comprehensive suite of
technology products to the
local healthcare sector
W
hen NeoDeck Software Corp. was
created in 2002, its
founders recognized the local
healthcare industry’s need for
a sophisticated array of software solutions to replace the
obsolete, burdensome systems many healthcare providers were using at that time.
Given the recent changes in
federal regulations, providers needed new applications
to meet these requirements,
along with added capabilities
that would also allow them to
effectively and securely share
and store this highly sensitive
information. This led NeoDeck to take two significant
steps: create a powerful electronic health record (EHR)
system under its NeoMED
label to meet the evolving
needs of the local healthcare
community; and join forces
with other high-tech vendors
to offer a suite of products to
complement the EHR process.
As a result, NeoMED EHR was
successfully launched into
the local market. As business
partners NeoDeck, CitaMed,
ASSERTUS, DACS, misResultados, INFOMEDIKA and
TEC2SCAN provide a suite of
comprehensive solutions for
the local healthcare industry.
This supplement provides a
broad introduction of the very
best in healthcare technology coming together, while
presenting top products and
services. Customers who are
already enjoying the benefits
and efficiencies of this stateof-the-art array have also
provided their testimonies as
proof that local healthcare
providers can find the technology and expertise they
need without having to look
outside the island.
As the first local software
company to be certified by
the Certification Commission
for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information
Technology (ONC), NeoDeck
is also the first to locally develop a health information
exchange (HIE). In addition
to Puerto Rico, it is currently
marketing its products in the
U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands
and a number of countries
in Latin America. Already, the
international market is taking notice of how rapidly it
delivers new and updated
applications, and it is looking to expand its portfolio of
products and services, which
they proudly developed right
here in Puerto Rico.
