What ’ s up guys big Serg here , just dropping a line or two to give you a little something about myself . First , I have to give big thanks to my dad who took the time to take me fishing every weekend for many years thanks , dad ! Now a little about myself , I ’ ve been fishing since I was about 5 years old . Mostly fresh water here in our local lakes for trout and catfish . As I got older and started going out on my own I fished mostly for Bass , aka trash fish .. lol . One day I saw two Asian guys fishing with cane poles with no reels , just a line tied to the tip of the pole and hauling in carp around 15 to 25 lbs . I was like wait a minute I ’ m catching 5-pound fish when these guys are catching fish this big ? I give up Bass fishing for good and started fishing for carp the very next day . I had a trout rod with 4 lbs test using can corn and a loaf of bread as bait . As the years past , I started to become a better carp angler using better tackle at catching carp in the 15 and 20lb range . One thing I was proud of is I was a catch and release angler . Here ’ s a little about our club , California Ghetto Carping aka CGC . Our club started about 4 years ago one day while fishing for carp . I meet Eddie otherwise known as mimik137 and his son little Joe . Eddie asked me what I was fishing for and I told carp . Then he had asked me what was I using for bait ? I told him before I tell you anything about what I ’ m using there ’ s one question I need to ask . “ what ’ s that ” Eddie asked ? What do you do with the fish you catch ? He replied , “ I throw them back ”. On that day Eddie and I became friends and carp fishing buddies for life . Together we become some of the best carpers Califonia had to offer . Now , this guy holds a 50lbs carp under his belt . A few weeks later I meet Rafe , aka I-b , on a fishing website that I was posting pictures of carp . One day I got a message from him saying that he too would like to see what carp fishing was all about . So once again I had to ask the same question as Eddie . I found out he to was a catch and release angler . So from that day on , he became a good friend and a great carp
