his secret wild water swim where we would fish the entire weekend starting May 9th , 2014 through the 11th . I was so excited to finally see this place that I have heard so much talk about . Besides my dreaming about it since first hearing about it . After arriving , we quickly began setting up camp and starting a pre-baiting campaign for the night that lay ahead . Out of the corner of my eye , I caught a glimpse of something orange near the bank . A koi ? Watching the beautiful creature was in itself a treat . I have always wanted to find a koi , and this is my first chance to catch one . Watching as it slowly moved out of sight into deeper water . Deciding that this was going to be my prize for the weekend . Hoping that what I saw was her feeding pattern I threw three balls of method / pack bait where she was next to the bank . That night was spent waiting in anticipation that the magnificent koi would grace my net . The fishing was at first slow , but the weather was great , warm with little to no wind at all . After a short period , the fish began to move into the baited swim with signs that they were beginning to feed . After an hour or so went by , the scream of a drag could be heard , turning out to be my right-hand pole . All I could think about was “ is this my beautiful koi ?” Nope , it wasn ’ t her but the first of many common carp to be banked . Slightly disappointed that this wasn ’ t the beautiful orange koi . Now she filled my every thought since spotting her . The fishing was wild from this point on catching over 45 common carp with weights ranging from 12 to 17 pounds . Then late
