It is winter once again and with the change in weather, temperature and wind direction its been tough on the bank over here in the UK. However its been an exciting few months for me as I have been welcomed to the Infusion bait's team as a bait tester, it is always interesting to learn and use new baits. And this is how I got on!

Needless to say I could not wait to get on the bank with my new baits and where better to go than my favorite fishery Todber manor on Wadmill lake, picking the swim I had fished once before. Using a 1oz in line lead and anti tangle tubing with lead clip, KD rig with a Teflon coated barbless size 8 hook inside a solid pva bag of mixed pellets. Hook bait was a 12mm Cnut boilie and half a goldenball pink flouro pop up from my Infusion bait range. I had previously pre baited a large reed bed with a mixture of hemp pellet and ground bait, thinking the different size particles give the carp a variation of bait to grub around on and hopefully encourage them to feed. Using an overarm cast to the large reed bed approximately 20 yards to my left. Then continued to catapulted an offering of Cnut and goldenball boilies over the top of my hook bait, along with a light offering of Cnut 12 mm boilies.
