Carnival of Cultures – Celebration of Diversity in Berlin
Initiated on 16th May 1996 in Germany, Carnival of Cultures is now a cosmopolitan festival. Since 22
years, it has been celebrated as a 4-days fest each year at Pentecost, Kreuzberg. In the beginning, only a
few carnival fans in Germany showed up for the festival. However, within a period of 2 decades, the
number of visitors to this cultural fest has crossed over 1 million. Get your Germany visa and fly to the

Berlin’s carnival of cultures (Karneval der Kulturen) is a great platform to showcase the culture of
Berlin’s ethnic groups and celebrate cultural diversity. Berlin’s most popular street festival is celebrated
during Pentecost weekend. The party animals from all over the world gather each year in the number of
hundreds of thousands to attend carnival of cultures 2019.
The main attraction of the festivities is the multi-hued cultural parade that takes place on Sunday. This
multicultural festival features enthralling music and dance. The invigorating & revitalizing fest lasts for
complete 4 hours.
Around 4000 – 5000 artists (professional and non-professional) come along to be a part of the most
beauteous and colorful procession.
The pageant will take you on a musical journey around the world with numerous renowned DJs, solo
artists and bands. Epicures, the food trucks and various food stalls will help you terminate all your
hunger. Palatable delicacies from different countries will be served.
