Stunt Legend Romain Jeandrot Shows His Skills at the AFC Motorbike Show 2017
The world-renowned motorcycle stunt legend, Romain Jeandrot, was recently in Sri Lanka to show his motorcycle taming skills at the AFC Motorbike Show 2017, which was held last month among the scenic mountains and tea plantations of the country’s highest city.
Jeandrot featured himself at the Alliance Finance Co (AFC) Motorbike show, which was held from April 8th to April 9th at the Race Course Round Road in Nuwara Eliya.
French born Jeandrot, currently ranked as the world’s number three stunt rider, has a number of international wins under his name, including the 1st place win at the 2014 World Championship Competition in Morocco and the 2015 West Bike Show Competition in France.
The event took off on the 8th of April with a motorcycle parade that was held at 07:00 am. The spectacle began from the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens car park and went all the way to the Nuwara Eliya city. The main event commenced at 10:00 am and was carried out with the participation of hundreds of spectators who gathered for the experience.
This year’s AFC Motorbike Show was a true sensation, with international level proceedings that included things such as a stunt competition, a stunt show, game stalls, live DJ music, Vintage bike stall, refreshment stalls, TV show, visiting card draw, a Selfie competition, dog show, young riders competition as well as an award ceremony to pick the best modified motorbike.
