Hello everyone, welcome to the first issue of Carmudi Monthly!
You’ll notice there’s a few cool features on this magazine you don’t get with a normal print magazine, so explore and enjoy.
Everyone has been second guessing when would be the best time to buy, with both the consumers as well as the sellers unsure as to what a “good price” was. While things seem to be settling down, expect to see market forces shift prices slowly over the coming months as art–ificial inflation gets eaten away as consumer confidence returns and competition increases.
The very composition of the market is probably going to shift soon, we’ve already seen a complete dominance by hybrids for the last 6 months (regist–rations higher than standard petrol and diesel cars combin– ed), and we may very well see the growth of the electric car segment.
Charge station infrastructure is slowly coming in, the Nissan
Leaf got cheaper, and a lot of the standard go to cars got a whole lot more expensive. Be it intentional or as many things are in Sri Lanka, purely coincid–ental, we may be headed to a more environmentally friendly traffic jam. Or…..everyone owning an RX-8! Its Rotary 1.3L engine means that it will have a lower tax rate than a Toyota Corolla!!
I do hope you enjoy reading the first issue of Carmudi Monthly, we welcome any feedback you may have regarding content, design or anything else. You can drop us an email at [email protected]
