Is there a particular time of year that you see a spike in breakdowns?
On average our “Roadside Assistance” service receives about 600 inquiries per month; however, there are recurring periods where this number spikes. Especially during school holidays (summer vacations season), long weekends (particularly after long weekends), public holiday seasons such as Sinhala Avurudhu, New Year’s & Christmas.
Natural disaster times also result in large spikes of calls for assistance, such as the flood season that many had to suffer through recently.
What is your usual estimated time of arrival of your team from the workshop to the customer’s location?
Our Teams usually call the customer before departing the workshop to keep the client aware on help being on the way. We usually target to reach within 45 mins of the call.
This depends on the traffic situation and the condition of the roads. The client will be kept informed, if there are any delays. Within Colombo however, the wait time will be much less, sometimes as low as 10 minutes (depending on traffic conditions and location).
