December 2023 marked a significant month for the Robotics Team at Carlynton Junior-Senior High School ! Two teams from the school participated in a competition at Penn-Trafford , achieving commendable results with finishes of 19th and 37th out of 38 teams . Notably , this event marked the first high school competition experience for all the students involved and represented Carlynton ' s return to robotics competitions after a two-year hiatus .
In addition to the high school competition , Mr . Stagl and Ms . Repola led students to a middle school robotics competition . The two teams from Carlynton Middle School performed admirably , securing 6th and 26th positions out of 28 teams . Impressively , all the students who took part in this middle school competition were newcomers , demonstrating their enthusiasm and dedication to robotics .
The accomplishments of both the high school and middle school teams reflect the hard work and commitment of the students , teachers , and mentors involved in the robotics program at Carlynton . Congratulations to everyone on a successful return to competitions , and here ' s to continued achievements in the exciting field of robotics !

CAREER FAIR

On December 6 , seniors , under the guidance of Mr . Canty , explored a realm of career possibilities at the UPMC Pathways for Students Career Fair held at the Petersen Events Center . The event served as a gateway for students to discover enticing entry-level , fulltime , and part-time career opportunities within the UPMC network . Attendees engaged with industry professionals , gaining valuable insights and fostering connections that could shape their professional journey . The Career Fair not only offered a glimpse into potential career paths but also equipped seniors with the knowledge and inspiration needed to navigate the transition from academia to the professional world with confidence .
