From the front end to the shop floor, diesel is all this team knows. As owner Satya( Sat) Bernhausen puts it, his crew lives and breathes diesel.
“ We are first and foremost, diesel specialists,” Sat said.“ It’ s all we do. There’ s no room here for anyone who doesn’ t absolutely love what they do.”
It’ s that specialization and passion for diesel that has made Bernhausen a leader in Western Canada. This isn’ t just a nice catch-phrase, Sat and his team put everything they have behind delivering the best possible service to their customers.
“ We have a full service fuel lab on site and a state of the art fuel injection test bench,” he noted.“ With very few shops having this technology in Western Canada, it certainly sets us apart.”
The specialized equipment in house allows technicians to see test results for the vehicle they’ re working on in the shop. Not only does this eliminate sending injectors out for testing, it creates a quicker, more accurate, in-depth analysis.
Of course all the fancy equipment in the world is useless without expertise. Sat still works on the shop floor and with 20 plus years experience he’ s a wealth of information, but it’ s still not enough for Bernhausen.
“ We have to stay ahead of the curve,” Sat explained.“ There are new vehicles coming out all the time and we have to know those systems inside and out so we are constantly training and updating our skills and knowledge. We can work on the most recent vehicles out there.”
The Bernhausen team is able to fine tune a vehicle to a customer’ s unique specifications allowing for better fuel economy, improvement to trouble areas, and better overall performance results.
From fleet work to personal vehicles, Bernhausen specializes in Ford Powerstroke, Dodge Cummins, Chevy Duramax, Volkswagen TDI, Mercedes TDI, and other newer European diesels.
“ There has been a shift in the market to more high-efficiency, smaller diesels,” said Sat.“ We’ re staying one step ahead of that to ensure we are equipped to handle all diesels – large and small – as they come through the door. That’ s why we’ ve invested in specialized equipment.”
Customers continue to come first with Bernhausen. Even as the company has grown, the Service Department is always available to discuss customer needs.
“ It’ s a passion for us,” Sat noted.“ At the end of the day we do whatever it takes to resolve vehicle issues. We want every customer to be completely satisfied.”
