If this isn’t possible, look for groups that meet in your local area, or online support groups like our Forum. Get organised Whatever helps you best – keeping a diary, writing a list or using an app. If you work flexible hours or have to keep track of when appointments are, some kind of organisational tool can help. Online ordering can also save time and help you get organised. Carers UK has developed its own app, called Jointly, designed to make caring less stressful and more organised. www.jointlyapp.com @carersuk /carersuk Find support If work and care is becoming too challenging, look at all your options and where you might be able to go for support. Everyone’s circumstances are different and there is no right or wrong answer, just what will work for you. This could mean going to your GP, looking at the hours you work, getting some (or more) outside help. “Jointly was an excellent way of making sure we had all the information we needed in one place. We only had to enter the information once and all of us had access to it.” You can find out more on our website Carersuk.org/work 19
