Lisa Reynolds, having given birth to a son, felt tired but still brimmed with excitement as she brought home
her newborn from the hospital. She had spent several hours in labour but did not take for granted the
fortune of her baby being alive. Then 24-years-old, she named her son Joshua Martin*.
She told CARIMAC Times that as the months went by, she noticed that some things about her child were
amiss. Martin, in her opinion, was not developing at a rate she thought to be typical of a child his age.
