First Ever Youth Seminar! For the first time ever First Citizens Investment Services held a Youth Seminar on Wednesday 15 May 2013. The seminar was quite a success with larger numbers than expected at approximately 67 persons. The free event offered financial advice to persons between the ages of 18 to 30 and the presenters included two local young entrepreneurs, Teige LaBorde and Ted Sandiford. Also making presentations were First Citizens Business Development Officer (Retail) Christine Charlemagne and Client Services Officer Denise Lewis who engaged the audience and took questions. First Citizens Investment Services expects to build new business relationships with young people from this group. Participants at Youth Seminar First Citizens supports Saint Lucia Carnival 2013 First Citizens Investment Services was a silver sponsor of Saint Lucia Carnival 2013 held on July 15 and 16 and also partnered with the Red Unlimited Carnival band, Looshan Revellers Carnival band and Calaloo Fridays, an after work carnival lime and networking event. First Citizens was also the presenting sponsor for the King and Queen of the Bands competition held on July 11 which featured a display of large creative costumes and a performance by Trinidadian Soca legend David Rudder. As an overall silver sponsor of Saint Lucia Carnival, First Citizens reinforced its commitment to promoting Arts and Culture in St Lucia. Regional Manager presents prize trophy for King and Queen of the Bands Dominica World Creole Festival 2013 Partnership For the fourth consecutive year First Citizens partnered with the Dominica World Creole Music Festival. This year’s festival, held from October 25 to 27 at Windsor Park Stadium featured some of the best acts from the region including such names as Machel Montano, Kassav and Busy Signal. The 2013 event attracted thousands of visitors to the Nature Isle for three nights of music. As part of its partnership First Citizens had the opportunity to have a booth at the event which was visited by several persons interested in finding out more about First Citizens services in the region.
