Javier Hernández Acosta, MBA is a PhD student at the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico ( Inter-??American University of Puerto Rico) and a lecturer at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón (University of Sacred Heart) also in Puerto Rico. He is a professional musician and founder of the blog Inversión Cultural (Cultural Investment), a project that provides business education to cultural entrepreneurs as well as marketing and ?nancial support for arts and cultural organizations, and research and policy analysis for cultural industries in Puerto Rico. His research interests include cultural industries, entrepreneurship, cultural policy and cross-??cultural management. His other interests include Arts management, Strategic planning for cultural organisations, Globalisation, arts and culture and Cultural policies in Latin America. Hernandez Acosta received a distinction in the MBA at the University of Puerto Rico where he was also an honour student. As a Lecturer in the Cultural Management Graduate Program, he is responsible for Music Management Creative Economy debate, as well as Marketing Courses (Marketing Principles, Services Marketing, Marketing Research and International Marketing) and International Business courses (Cultural Consciousness in International Business & Introduction to Business Environment in America, Europe & Paci?c). He is also Executive President of the Cantautores (Singer/Songwriter) Workshop Coop, providing assistance with budgeting, accounting and general business management of theatre, rehearsal rooms, record labels, at the School of Arts and Concession Management at the University of Puerto Rico Theatre, Rio Piedras Campus.
