Computer Science Principles
This course emphasizes the content, practices, thinking and skills central to the discipline of computer science. The focus of this course will fall into these computational thinking practices: connecting computing, developing computational artifacts, abstracting, analyzing problems and artifacts, communicating, and collaborating. CSP will focus more on programming specifics including Object Orientation using JAVA. Students will begin practicing and using syntax to learn and develop projects using
Dr. Java/ Code HS and Scratch.
This is the second course within the Programming Career Pathway.
This course counts as a Science elective and in HOPE GPA.
