WHAT IS IT?
Build on your diagnostic imaging skills with Eastern Florida State College’ s Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Sonography Advanced Technical Certificate( ATC) program.
The three-term, 27-credit program starts each Fall and allows registered sonography professionals with an A. S. degree to expand their career potential while helping doctors diagnose and treat heart-related issues.
Also known as echocardiography technologists, diagnostic cardiac sonographers use ultrasound machines, transducers, and other technology to create images of the human heart to evaluate chamber size, valvular function, and physiology, often without expensive, invasive methods. Cardiac sonographers also maintain the specialized cardiac imaging equipment.
Note: The Cardiac Sonography program is a limited access program. A specialized application process is required.
