WHAT IS IT?

The Accounting Technology two-year Associate in Science degree prepares graduates for careers in a wide range of fields in business, financial, and governmental organizations such as accounts receivable or payable, bookkeeping, credit and collections, auditing, and payroll.
You’ ll learn to prepare and manage financial information using appropriate business software, and how to make sound decisions based on that information. As you learn the principles of corporate finances, you’ ll also learn how to create and maintain a personal budget. Technical electives allow you to customize your focus in areas such as business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and sales.
The degree also prepares students to pursue additional education in the accounting and business fields, including moving on to EFSC’ s Organizational Management Bachelor in Applied Science degree, which includes an Accounting specialization.
