British Half Marathon
Championships
The top three male and female British
runners will be presented with British
Championship medals. If you wish to compete
in the British Championships, please ensure
that you fulfil the following criteria: “Athletes
competing in the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half
Marathon on Sunday 4th October 2015 will
be deemed eligible for UK Championships
and the Grand Prix, if they fulfil the criteria
to be eligible to compete for Great Britain &
Northern Ireland in competition”.

The Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon
is home to the Welsh Half Marathon
Championships.
The top three male and female Welsh runners
will be presented with Welsh Championship
medals. If you want to compete in the Welsh
Championships please ensure that you fulfil
the following criteria:
To be declared Welsh and compete in the
Welsh Championships at the Lloyds Bank
Cardiff Half Marathon, the runner must have
birth, parentage (one or both parents born in
Wales), residence (two years continuous prior
to the event) or retention (having retained a
residence eligibility) qualifications.
The above criteria will have needed to have
been checked and confirmed in writing by the
Welsh Athletics Office prior to the event”.
All of the above is subject to approval from
Welsh Athletics.

Photography and Video
Photographs and video footage will be taken
at the race, which you will be able to purchase
from our official photographers Marathon
Photos (www.marathon-photos.com).
All event images may be used by Run 4 Wales
to publicise this event.
Drinks
Brecon Carreg water will be available to
runners around the course and also at the
finish. A MaxiNutrition Gel will be provided
in Roald Dahl Plass, Cardiff Bay. A Lucozade
drink will also be provided along the course.
It is not recommended to use a gel on race
day without prior use.
Race Day Parking,
Car Sharing and Bike Park
There will be a Park & Walk service in
operation at Cardiff City Stadium on the day,
just a short one mile walk from the start.
Go green, travel by two wheels and lock your
bikes up for free to avoid traffic and parking.
There will be a bike park in operation in
Gorsedd Gardens next to the Runners’ Village
for anyone cycling to the race.
We also encourage runners to use
www.gocarshare.com to find and share lifts
with other participants, saving everyone
money and hassle getting to the event.

Race Start
The start of the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half
Marathon is in the heart of the city centre
on Castle Street. It’s a five minute walk from
Cardiff Central Station and just minutes
from a number of car parks. The start will
be divided into colour-coded pens that
correspond with your race number and your
estimated time. Please assemble within
the clearly signposted pens and follow the
adjacent map for directions to the start.
The starting pens open from 8.15am. You are
permitted to move back a pen colour but not
forward.
If you are looking to drop your bag off before
the race, please follow signs to the Runners’
Village and the Baggage Drop from 7.30am.
