Set in the heart of Cardiff’s historic Bay, the springtime Cardiff Bay Run kicks off our 2018 event season and is a fast, flat and friendly event for all ages and abilities. The route takes in all of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic landmarks, starting and finishing in Roald Dahl Plass and passing the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr and the Cardiff Bay Barrage. The popular race sold out with 6,500 runners in 2017. Organised in conjunction with Kidney Wales, the Cardiff 10K is Wales’ most established road race with a proud 32 year history. The flat, fast course is perfect for new runners looking for a challenge or more seasoned athletes aiming to break their PB’s. Learn More: www.cardiff10K.cymru Learn More: www.cardiffbayrun.co.uk Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon 3K, 10K & Half Marathon – Sat 19/05/2018 Half Marathon & Festival of Running – Oct 2018 Incorporated into the Royal Welsh Spring Festival, the Royal Welsh Trail Running Festival has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s largest trail running events, offering a series of thrilling and scenic races in the heart of Mid-Wales. 10K and half marathon races take in valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry and 3K, Family Mile and Toddler Trail events offer something for all ages and abilities. The 2018 Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon is set to be a special one – as we celebrate our 15th anniversary. Wales’ largest road race sold out in July 2017 with 25,000 registrations and with so many missing out, demand is expected to be even higher next year. The route starts and finishes in the heart of Cardiff, but also takes in Newport, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Torfaen and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The 4th edition will take place on Sunday 8th July 2018.
