Homecoming 2013
The week leading up to CNU's 2013 homecoming game was filled with a variety of different activities; these activities were ways to show support for the candidates nominated for homecoming court.
On Monday, November 4th, the candidate videos were released; a clip from Courtney’s is below. The video was the candidate’s representation of what being a CNU Captain means to them.
On Tuesday November 5th, Yell like Hell was held in the Trible Plaza. Yell like Hell was a chance for the organization with the nominated candidate to create a chant showing their CNU pride.
On Wednesday, November 5th, the voting for Homecoming Court began; this ended on Friday, November 7th. Also on Friday was CNU’s annual Midnight Madness; beginning at 10pm and lasting until midnight, Midnight Madness is a time for students to come out and be able to participate in wacky games and out with friends.
On Saturday, November 9th, the Homecoming golf parade was held. Beginning at the Freeman Center, Courtney Lord sat in the golf cart –decorated in a Flintstone manner – while sisters walked behind the cart to show their support. While walking, sisters chanted a variety of different songs about Zeta Tau Alpha and CNU. The parade went through the Trible Plaza, past the resident halls of York East and West as well as Potomac North and South, and ended on the lawn just outside of the football field next to the residence hall of James River. Here, the golf cart and chant were judged for creativity.
The 2013 Homecoming King and Queen were announced at half time for the game; while Courtney didn’t win, we are proud of her for all the dedication and hard work she put in throughout the week!
Zeta Tau Alpha's very own Courtney Lord was nominated for the 2013 homecoming queen!
