Statement of the issue
College athletics is a prime location for inequalities regarding gender and sexuality, as these injustices live presently throughout universities around the country and world.
Rationale for Topic
I decided to address this injustice because I plan to be a college athlete and I feel obligated to stand up for and defend those who are treated unfairly in their sport. I have a strong ethical belief that no one should feel like they do not belong in an activity they love participating in simply because of their gender or identity.
