Societal Impact
Socializations and stereotypes of society play a major role in the difference between female and male sports. Society looks at male athletes as rough, hard working, strong, so they give more attention to their sports. On the other hand, society sees a female sport as a slower and less physical game. However, female and male athletes work and play just as hard, so the socialization is not just. This socialization is build around the image of masculinity and the fact that sports are built around that. In a just society, these stereotypes of genders would not existence and, therefore, would not affect the way in which people looks at sports and who is playing them.
