With a realistic approach to the future,
we want to teach electric vehicle repair,

The Opportunity Center is a $3
million project, which will require many
donations. “For any nonprofit, funding
stability is a challenge,” says Rios. “We
don’t want to launch programs that will
be here one year and gone the next.
We’re careful about projects we start so
we’re well-assured we can sustain them
or bring partners to help sustain them.
The Opportunity Center is an example
of a project we know will provide great
value to the entire community.”
Partnering with La Familia is a good
business investment, as programs
benefit both participants and the
business community. “As an example,
the [Sacramento] Metro Chamber of
Commerce raised money to help create
a STEM center, which is a huge benefit
to the whole community,” explains Rios.
“That kind of investment helps enable
young people to become our future
workforce. Similarly, investing in our
Opportunity Center will help build a
workforce pipeline.”
La Familia has proven to be a pillar
of strength in south Sacramento for
decades. Rios concludes, “People need
to know they can count on an agency
to meet their needs or refer them to a
trusted partner agency that can. For
45 years, we’ve worked hard to build
and maintain that faith in us from the
community through the dedication of
our caring staff.”
La Familia is a great
business investment.
The whole community
benefits from our

and investing in

to prosperity in
neighborhoods and
businesses.
