It’s hard to underestimate the impact arts and culture
education have on a populace: When low-income students
who are exposed to the arts in school are twice as likely
as their peers to obtain a college degree, it’s clear that
arts and culture can improve the quality of life in a
community. In 2017, local arts and culture non-
profits used their unique talents to rise up, step
into the spotlight and break the mold. Be an
active member of their audience: Go see a
live play, make a donation, buy original art
from local artists or advocate for arts
education today.
