Employability Festival: Programme of Events
COMPETITIONS AND PRIZES
Factset Insight Day Wednesday 25 November 2015
FactSet would love to welcome selected students to our London office on Wednesday
25th November for an insight into our business and more specifically our Consulting department.
Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to meet with some of our Consultants and find out what they do
on a day-to-day basis, gain a better understanding of what we do as a business, our clients and the recruitment
process. Not forgetting a tour of our office, to get a better understanding of our working culture and of course,
lunch. FactSet is a leading provider of financial data and analytic applications for investment professionals.
We are limited to 30 spaces so if you would like to be in with a chance to attend please send your CV & a short
covering letter to [email protected] by 5pm on Monday 16th November. Transport will be free and leave
from the University of Kent at Canterbury at 9am, returning at 5pm.

Meet Graduate Employers with Milkround

Milkround, part of News International, are offering a fantastic prize to Kent students as part of the Employability
Festival. They are offering 40 students an opportunity to visit their head offices at The News Building, one of the
most impressive office spaces in London, to hear directly from industry professionals about what it takes to get
hired. This prize is just for Kent students and will consist of workshops and networking opportunities. To be in with
a chance of winning, just complete the feedback survey that will be emailed to you after the Employability Festival

Highest Number of Employability Points logged during
Canterbury Employability Festival 2015
For the 2015-16 Employability Festival in Canterbury, the student who logs the highest number of
points will win a £30 Amazon voucher.
The competition opens on 26 October 2015 at 9.00am and closes on 13 November 2015 at 5.00pm.
Please note this competition is only open to students studying at the Canterbury campus.
£50 Amazon voucher
At the end of Employability Festival you will be sent a short survey to tell us what you
thought of the events. If you complete the survey you will be entered into a prize draw
to win a £50 Amazon voucher. Good Luck!
CV Competition 2015
Look out for details of the Careers and Employability Service annual CV Competition which offers the chance to
win unpaid work placement opportunities with local organisations. Entrants will be required to submit a CV and
answer some reflective questions about their degree course. Past employers offering placements have included
Canterbury Cathedral, Santander Universities, Ashford Teaching Alliance and Nucleus Arts amongst others. The
competition will run throughout the spring term and details of how to enter will be available from
www.kent.ac.uk/ces/student/cvs.html in due course.
