John Coyne CBE, chair of British Canoeing
British Canoeing would like to
congratulate Lizzie Carr, who became
the first female in history to solo
paddleboard across the English Channel.
This is just the beginning of our
four-year plan, it’s a strong start and
there is lots to do in the delivery phase
to achieve our ambitions but by working
together we hope to see positive and
exciting results in years to come.
More than 80 people from across the canoeing
community in the UK, including members, clubs,
centres, funding partners, committee members,
members of the ICF, volunteers and staff came
together to officially mark the new strategy which
provides a blueprint for all parties to work together.
